I'm presuming the "monster update" on Thursday will be...monster. (That was a joke. Ha ha, fat chance.)

Didn't Gaile say somewhere in April-May that the CM team would be working to get Dev updates out before updates so that people could critique them and prepare?

Even under Regina, that's still a common sense idea.

I recommend you find a constant, otherwise your brain might explode.

I believe GW policy is that they do Dev Updates after the Update just incase it changed. That might work for Microsoft, but not for a gaming company.

They did the first Dev Updates before, but people would panic so much that they stopped and started doing it after the update.

However, I remember them stating they were going to do this Dev Update before, so I'm sure we can expect it today or tomorrow.

They also said they would be sharing more about gw2 in 2008 as opposed to the silence of last year.

Neither of these have been seen, or are forseen in the near future either. I give up waiting for what anet has to say.

It's not going to be "monster" or really anything special imo. Being cynical is really the way to go. If you're wrong, you're surprised (in a good way), but if you're right, you get to make fun of people who aren't pessimistic.

It actually depends. Some dev updates are before, some are after. In this case, they want to fully explain everything (or try to), but not give the update away early, so they are doing it after.
